Loving Your Neighbour

Image
Love your neighbour as you love yourself A love letter to myself How do i love thee? Let me count the ways How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth & breadth & height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of being & ideal grace. I love thee to the level of every day's Most quiet need, by sun & candlelight. I love thee freely, as men strive for right; I love thee purely, as they turn from praise. I love thee with the passion put to use In my old griefs, & with my childhood's faith. I love thee with a love I seemed to lose With my lost saints, - I love thee with the breath, Smiles, tears, of all my life! - & if God choose, I shall but love thee better after death. Elizabeth Barrett Browning How do I love Me? Let me Count the Ways. by Kleoniki Vanos I dedicate this message to you & to myself! Let us stop this violence that we commit against ourselves!!! Let us embark u

Building Self Love

Image
Clearly and directly build self love: Beautiful Am I, Bountiful Am I, Blissful Am I! Joyful Energy by Kleoniki Vanos The power of intention is an invisible field of energy that carries you, and is determined by the quality of your thoughts.  Upon first glance of “Joyful Energy” the eye is immediately drawn toward the black nucleus, which takes up the smallest portion of the image but demands the greatest attention. In its somewhat menacing appearance, it is peculiarly warmed as it fades into the red cell around it. While red is stimulating and enlivening us physically, and giving us a sense of warmth and friendliness, it flows into pink. The pink inspiring a gentle sense of tranquility and nurturing from the feminine energy of love. Then we notice a thin membrane lining the pink energy and essential stimulation of yellow; which invokes optimism, confidence, and emotional strength to be ourselves. Finally the orange reassures us that it is safe to openly be your authentic

Ancient Wisdom Still Stands

Image
Philosophy with Sokrates "I decided that it was not wisdom that enabled poets to write their poetry, but a kind of instinct of inspiration, such as you find in seers and prophets who deliver all their sublime messages without knowing in the least what they mean." - Sokrates. "True wisdom comes to each of us when we realise how little we understand about life, ourselves, & the world around us." - Sokrates. "I know nothing except the fact of my ignorance." - Sokrates. "If all misfortunes were laid in one common heap whence everyone must take an equal portion, most people would be contented to take their own & depart ."- Sokrates. "The unexamined life is not worth living." - Sokrates. "Apply yourself both now & in the next life. Without effort, you cannot be prosperous. Though the land be good, you cannot have an abundant crop without cultivation." - Plato. "Courage is a kind of salvation." - P

Tending Your Garden

There are no limits to who you are and what you can achieve Giant Healer by Kleoniki Vanos How far can you go?   Most of us grew up with these songs, but have we ever really listened and understood? Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the Moon Fly me to the moon Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like On Jupiter & mars In other words, hold my hand In other words, darling, kiss me Fill my heart with song And let me sing for ever more... Diana Ross - It's my turn I can't cover up my feelings In the name of love Or play it safe For a while that was easy And if living for myself Is what i'm guilty of Go on & sentence me I'll still be set free It's my turn To see what I can see I hope you'll understand This time's just for me Because it's my turn With no apologies I've given up the truth To those I've tried to please But now it's my turn If I don't have all the answers At least I know I'

Dare To Believe in the Promise

Talking to an Angel Talking to an Angel by Kleoniki Vanos I thought I saw an Angel & while I was still contemplating the direction of my thoughts I realised that the vision was in fact true!  Angel: I have been waiting for this moment! And now that you're free to see, I can share with you the dreams I have for you. May your vision never be clouded! May you rise to heights of new found flight & journey to the truth of love! May you find warm affection in yourself & grow fond of your weaknesses & strengths! May you be devoted to the Truth that is in you & may you convey that message of affection to everyone you meet! May you cling to, delight in, enjoy having, be addicted to & admire the existence of the gift of life! There is freedom within you!!!

Existentialism

Image
Stagnation is not an option I would like to share with you where I am at this juncture, in the hopes that it will meet you where you are and lift you to a healthier frame of mind. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."  Aristotle. Let us talk a little bit about existentialism. In Victor E. Frankls' 'Man's Search For Meaning,' we are confronted with the following statement: "We should not be hesitant about challenging man with a potential meaning for him to fulfil. It is only thus that we evoke his will to meaning from his state of latency. I consider it a dangerous misconception of mental hygiene to assume that what man needs in the first place is equilibrium, or as it is called in biology, 'homeostasis,' i.e. a tensionless state. What man actually needs is not a tensionless state, but rather the striving and struggling for a worthwhile goal, a freely chosen task." I am recently challe

Seeing With Your Heart

Image
The gift of sight (16 October 2011) Seeing - what a beautiful thing! Seeing through the lens of love - even better! There is a woman, she works at a local store. For three years now I've been watching her, seeing her. The first time I noticed her she looked bedraggled & forlorn, packing parcels, her eyes cast down. I saw her again this week & that's when I realised that I'd been documenting her beauty in my mind. Her hair is died a dark brown now, & through her journey of bandaged brokenness, the loud eyeshadow made its way to her eyelids, red painted nails & plastic beads adorn her beautiful gentle soul. I'm always happy to see her. I want to photograph her. In loving vision,  me. The Gift of Sight by Kleoniki Vanos

What is Your Purpose?

Image
Ever wondered what you are here for? Nine years ago I started to consciously ask this question. I verbalised it & the response I got from my inner circle was... I'm here to glorify God, to show forth his splendour, To make a difference in the world, To be a mother & raise my children, To be a care giver, To quieten the ego and become more spiritual, To get anther chance at getting it right this time, To teach others from the wisdom I gathered along the way, and on and on... Nothing I heard, or thought, or read really satisfied my question. Sneak Preview by Kleoniki Vanos Then one day I had the privilege of having several conversations with wonderful individuals who took the time to share with me. Who brought their spot light into our conversation & enabled me, for the first time, to find a voice to say what I had been trying to for so long. This rocketed me into the space of my journey.  Dewald, Adel, Charl, Nic, Pierre, Mark, I thank you for you!
